Writing a blog post can be challenging and involves proper planning. In this article, I will share 10 quick tips for writing a blog post from my own experience on how to write blog posts for beginners. If you are a beginner in this field, then this article will be very useful and by the end of this article, you will learn how to write a blog post.
#Tip 1: Decide what to write:
If you have never written an article or blog post earlier, then the first step to writing one is to decide what to write. Pick a topic that you are passionate about or already love reading, writing, and listing about. You can get trending blogging niches in my article Ten Trending Blogging Niches in 2021.
If you are passionate about something, then you will love writing about it as well.
#Tip 2: Have subjective knowledge:
Before writing anything you should have knowledge about the topic. For gathering subjective knowledge on the topic, read other blogs, magazine articles, books or any other document relevant to your topic. You can also watch videos or listen to audio book to gather information.
Once information is collected, you can start writing.
#Tip 3: Write headlines first:
Headline is one of the most important elements for your blog post or article. It is quite common that, 9 out of 10 people will read the headline and only 3 out of then will read your complete article. If your headline is not attractive then no one will read it.
Please keep in mind that, while writing the headline do not go out of the topic.
#Tip 4: Start Writing:
It is normal for you as beginners that, you spent hours, days or weeks before starting your first blog. This is because of your fear and negative thoughts that come to your mind. Most of the people do not write articles due to this fear and negative thoughts.
But for writing articles keep such feelings aside and start writing.
#Tip 5: Make the article swimmable:
A standard article may contain 500 to 1000 words. However in some cases such product comparison or any review it may go up to 2500 to 3000 words, an some news articles are written within 200 to 300 words. Number of word per article depends upon the topic, nature and purpose of the article.
For better readability, it must be well formatted into paragraphs. A long paragraph can be boring for the reader.
#Tip 6: Be original
You may love reading articles of other successful writers or their writing style, but never copy any others article and their style. Copying others content or style of writing will have negative impact on your article. If your content has any copied sentences or paragraphs, it will not be ranked by the search engine or in some cases it is reported as plagiarised.
So try to write in your own style to be successful in this field. 100% original content have more chance to be ranked in search engines.

#Tip 7: Use ‘I’ and ‘You’ rule
Using ‘I’ and ‘You”, will make your article more interactive between you and the reader. The reader can relate to your thoughts and writing by using ‘I’ and ‘You’ rule. If your reader feels you are talking to directly to him, then it is quite possible that, he will leave a comment after reading your article.
#Tip 8: Use attractive Graphics / Images
You can make your article more interactive and look professional by adding attractive graphics and images. Using graphics and images will help your reader to understand your article more easily. If your article is attractive, then the reader might share it with others.

To be successful in content writing, write your article in proper formats and consider using bullet points to make article simple and catchy. Use bold letters to emphasise any word or sentence. Use headlines categories such as h1, h2, h3 etc., whenever required.
Proper formatting of your article is very important as it creates a good impression on the reader and it provides a better understanding. It also provides a better reading experience.
#Tip 10: End with a call to action
It is better to end your article with a call to action. A call to action is asking your reader what to do after reading your article. It may be anything depending upon your preferences but not more than one.
Do not keep your reader on confusion; end your article by motivating your reader to do something like asking their views about the topic, asking any question relating to the topic, or simply a request to share your article.
